Rolex 18K Yellow Gold Oyster Perpetual GMT Master with Lava Dial

The Rolex GMT Master is iconic. Immediately identifiable by its design, shape, and look, the GMT Master is the cornerstone of any watch collection. Although the vintage Rolex GMT Master watches from the 11980s are most commonly seen in stainless steel, these watches were made in 18K yellow gold as well. Originally created circa 1980, the 18K yellow gold Rolex GMT Master (reference 16758) came with a black dial or a brown gloss dial. Over time, these watches take on a unique look and feel, often as a result of the environment and the way a watch is worn. The result is interesting and unusual dials with colors and patterns varying. This incredibly unique example features what we are calling a brown gloss “Lava” dial with browns that give the appearance of boiling lava. This watch from circa 1980/1981 features an 18K yellow gold case and is accented with a bi-directional rotating bezel in brown with white accents. This watch is fitted on a factory Rolex 18K yellow gold South American Presidential bracelet.. This watch is a must for collectors. Includes a letter of authenticity and one-year limited warranty on the movement of the watch from Veralet. Please note the crystal and bezel both have wear and use.
